Pigment Prints

All prints are made using Epson Ultrachrome HDX pigment inks. The list of papers in use is evolving, and always based on personal experience through my own photographic work. The current stock includes a selection of baryta based fiber papers from Hahnemuhle, for images requiring a luster or soft gloss finish akin to traditional darkroom papers. They provide a wide gamut and lively contrast for both color and b+w photographs. Epson Hot Press Bright and Hahnemuhle Rag are used when a matte rag finish is more desirable, often for fine art reproduction. Resin based luster and high gloss media are available for more visual punch, both with the feel of C-print papers.

Technical Notes

When a file is received for printing it’s assumed to be preflighted and ready to go. Small adjustments are made to format, sizing and contrast (according to paper type) and a quick test strip is made to assure quality ahead of the final print. Files should be close to the intended size at 300dpi resolution, in Adobe RGB colorspace. Have doubts? FedEx and USPS are used for shipping prints, cost varies. Local Delivery in Brooklyn and Manhattan is available for a $25 flat rate;
